About the event

This event was all about  the power of connecting and sharing – especially for those involved in neighborhood and locality working, who are under more pressure than ever before to demonstrate the value of what they do.

On 14 June 2016 around 60 people from local government, community organisations, and the police, took part in an event to share their examples of neighbourhood and locality working.  We spent the day discussing the practical ways in which local public services are using specialist neighbourhood and locality teams to involve the public in deciding how services are run, and finding smarter ways to make sure communities’ needs are met.  We also spent time exploring ways to show how these approaches make a difference, save public money, and lead to better outcomes for communities.
