Part of the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG)’s work to support Coastal Communities will see support to over 100 new local teams that will help revive England’s seaside towns. Coastal Communities Minister Mark Francois said “Coastal Community Teams will help decide where that investment goes because local people know best what is needed to grow their local economy.” Applications need to be submitted by 14 September 2015.
Colerne Old School Playgroup, a registered charity, has spent the past three years raising funds through initiatives such as a sponsored balloon race and donations have also been received from residents, charities, Bath Lions Club, Community First and 5,000 from energy provider Npower.
