Community decide on how public money is spent in Stockport

Pictured are the successful community groups receiving their cheques for funding at the ‘You Say, We Pay' event in Stockport Town Centre.

The Safer Stockport Partnership and the Central Neighbourhood Management Board organised a Participatory Budgeting event at Stockport Baptist Church to give residents the chance to decide how £20,000 should be spent to best improve their community. The ‘You Say, We Pay’ event saw money awarded to young people projects, fitness sessions and parenting support.
